Original WWII Japanese Order of the Rising Sun – 8th Class with Case
Original WWII Imperial Japanese Order of the Rising Sun, 8th Class, complete with its original presentation case. Established in 1875 by Emperor Meiji, the Order of the Rising Sun was awarded to military personnel and civilians for distinguished service to Japan.
The decoration features the traditional paulownia crest design, suspended from its original red and white ribbon, and is housed in the black lacquered case with Japanese script on the lid and purple velvet interior. The medal and case show light, honest age consistent with period use.
A well-preserved example of an Imperial Japanese decoration from the World War II era, ideal for collectors of Japanese militaria or WWII awards.
